The Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road is world-renowned for its dramatic seascapes and beautiful bushland with cascading waterfalls, rainforest walks and ancient fern gullies on one side and on the seaside magnificent surf beaches, high cliffs and incredible rugged coastal scenery and landscapes. Experience this wild region of Australia as you journey over 300 km's from Port Fairy to Melbourne. Indulge yourself on a cycle tour that caters for moderate to advanced cyclist with optional cycling distances designed to suit each level of experience. This tour offers generous amounts of time for sight seeing and enjoying the attractions the Great Ocean Road offers. All sections of each day are optional, and there is no obligation to cycle each one, your support person will always be available to look after you.

TOUR MAP AND ITINERARY
DAY 1 Distance: 65 - 96 km Altitude gain: 242 m
Port Fairy to Port Campbell – Ride pass the lake water of Belfast Lough teeming with
bird life. Then onto Logan’s Beach where the Southern Right whales give birth to their young using the bay as a nursery before migrating back to Antarctica. Arrive at your hotel, superbly situated with a stunning balcony outlook over the beach & harbour.
DAY 2 Distance: 73 - 103 km Altitude gain: 1228 m
Port Campbell to Apollo Bay – Experience an exhilarating section of riding as you cycle
along the Shipwreck coast before entering the magnificent Otway National Park. Pedal your way past the tops of the limestone craggy stacks sticking out above the cliffs on route to the famous 12 Apostles.
DAY 3 Distance: 93km Altitude gain: 704 m
Apollo Bay to Torquay – Awake to the sound of surf pounding on the sandy shore before getting back on the bike and rolling out back along the Great Ocean Road. Hug the coastline all the way to Anglesea before heading inland to Torquay.
DAY 4 Distance: 70 -118 km Altitude gain: 15 m
Torquay to St Kilda – Commence the day through flat and rural landscapes with farmsteads lost in a sea of parched grassland scorched by the summer heat. Then roll through Black Rock, Sandringham, Hampton & Brighton before reaching the outskirts of Melbourne.
